Recently, we reported about our status as Apple Assessment Developer. We are happy to serve now some brand-new features specifically designed for BYOD (bring your own device) exams. Starting today, the BeAxi App is available in version 10.2 in the iTunes AppStore. It is the biggest release since 10.0 and is packed in particular with the following features:
Auto-Lock device
You can set your exam to automatically start the guided access on the iPad (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202612) before the exam starts. Therewith, you can prevent candidates from leaving the application during the exam. After the exam has been completed, the device is automatically unlocked again.
Self-Destruct
Especially, in BYOD exam scenarios, no information should remain on the device that should not leave the exam room. To overcome the fact that data is compromised, we invented the exam-self-destruct that allows to automatically remove all data after the exam has been completed.*
* for security reasons, the candidates encrypted answers remain on the device.
